गदर 2 बॉक्स ऑफिस पर धुआंधार कमाई कर रही है. सनी देओल और अमीषा पटेल स्टारर फिल्म गदर 2 बॉलीवुड हंगामा के साथ इंटरव्यू में निर्माता अनुराग कश्यप ने कहा था, मुझे लगता है कि बहुत बढ़िया मार्केटिंग की गई थी. साथ ही गदर में बहुत पुरानी यादें हैं. मुझे लगता है कि लोग यह भूल जाते हैं. गदर के साथ लगान और दिल चाहता है आई और गदर की संख्या उन दोनों फिल्मों की संयुक्त संख्या से दो गुना थी. बता दें कि मूवी अबतक 500 करोड़ रुपए की कमाई कर चुकी है. गदर 2 की जबरदस्त सफलता के बीच निर्देशक अनिल शर्मा ने कहा कि वह गदर 2 को ऑस्कर के लिए भेजने की योजना बना रहे हैं और उनकी टीम आवेदन प्रक्रियाओं पर काम कर रही है.
