कप्तान रोहित शर्मा और शुभमन गिल की धमाकेदार अर्धशतकीय पारियों की मदद से भारत ने सोमवार को यहां नेपाल को बारिश से प्रभावित मैच में डकवर्थ लुईस पद्धति से 10 विकेट से हराकर एशिया कप एक दिवसीय क्रिकेट टूर्नामेंट के सुपर चार में जगह बनाई. ग्रुप ए से भारत और पाकिस्तान ने तीन-तीन अंक के साथ सुपर चार में जगह बनाई जबकि नेपाल अपने दोनों मैच हारने के कारण टूर्नामेंट से बाहर हो गया. भारत और पाकिस्तान का मैच बारिश की भेंट चढ़ गया था. इस मैच में भी बारिश के कारण लगभग तीन घंटे का खेल नहीं हो पाया. नेपाल ने पहले बल्लेबाजी के लिए आमंत्रित किए जाने पर 48.2 ओवर में 230 रन बनाए.
With the help of explosive half-centuries from captain Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill, India defeated Nepal by 10 wickets using the Duckworth-Lewis method in a rain-affected match here on Monday and made it to the Super Four of the Asia Cup one-day cricket tournament. From Group A, India and Pakistan made it to the Super Four with three points each while Nepal was out of the tournament after losing both its matches. The match between India and Pakistan was washed out due to rain. In this match too, almost three hours of play could not be played due to rain. Nepal, when invited to bat first, scored 230 runs in 48.2 overs.
